I was given this campaign through BzzAgent to sample a bottle of Filippo Berio Olive Oil and to give my honest review of the product.
My husband and I enjoy cooking with olive oil as well as using it as a bread dip and in some cases to replace butter in recipes.
After having the opportunity to try Filippo Berio Olive Oil, we can honestly say it’s an awesome product! The taste is not too tangy and does not have that chemically aftertaste that some brands tend to have.
While the price is a little more than we usually pay ($4.98 at Walmart), it may be worth it. You’re paying for high quality and good taste which is especially important if you plan to use the oil as a dip for bread. Uncooked/unheated olive oil is the best way I’ve found to find the true taste of the brand. Some cheaper, lesser quality oils can usually be used to cook without any taste disasters but they cannot be used as a bread dip.
So, due to this, it may be worth it to pay a dollar or two more for Filippo Berio.
